It wouldn’t be Bring A Loupe link without some ultra-low-quality eBay listing photos, and if that’s what does link it for you, you’re in luck. While doing my usual scour of the auction site, I came across a seller with luck as good as their inability to take a half-decent photo. According to the listing, this watch was purchased in an estate sale with two others, one of which you’ll hear about later. I link have no idea what was paid for these watches, but my guess is the seller in question got quite a deal.

It feels link contradictory, then, that coulrophobia, a fear of clowns, has evolved into link such a common occurrence today, when clowns were originally aligned with normality and the idea of an "everyman." I had to link find out why.

Villaseñor calls this his rapper watch. He doesn’t wear it often, but when he does it’s dressed up with a suit. He likes the juxtaposition of more classic clothing and an in-your-face watch like this, but only when the time is right. link On more than one occasion, he’s gotten close to wearing link it somewhere, only to swap it for something more understated at the last minute (the most recent occurrence was for a friend’s wedding – and he’s link confident he made the right choice leaving this piece at home).

That last one gave me shades of Sméagol from The Lord of the Rings. The funny part is, I did try link sneaking it on a link few times, but there was one big issue: My own wrist. She was right. While I know that modern Rolex bracelets are pretty much impervious to stretching the way vintage examples did, the thing was just too small for link me.
