Nashville, Tenn. – March 21, 2025 – Louisiana Music Hall of Famer Amanda Shaw continues her genre-defying musical journey with the release of her latest single, "Bad," a collaboration with New Orleans legend Fred Le Blanc of Cowboy Mouth and produced by Dolly Parton's longtime bandleader and guitarist Kent Wells.
"Bad" is a high-energy, sultry, and female-empowering track that showcases Shaw's signature blend of Cajun and rock music influences. The song is a celebration of independence and self-love, with Shaw's powerful vocals and fiddle playing taking center stage. STREAM “BAD” NOW.
“I’ve been a fan of Cowboy Mouth and Fred for a long time, so when he pitched me the song I instantly knew it was something I’d love to record and perform live. Kent Wells did an amazing job capturing that signature New Orleans sound in the studio, and challenged me to step outside my vocal comfort zone,” shares Shaw. “I also love the theme of the song. It’s interesting because while it’s written by a man, as a woman delivering it, I get to explore the idea of reclaiming your life after a breakup. It’s about getting back out there, embracing your freedom, and enjoying being a woman. That’s a really cool and empowering vibe to bring to the stage.”
“I’m gonna be bad
And it’s gonna feel good
I’m gonna do everything your mother said we never should
I’m gonna be bad
And I want to do wrong
You’re gonna be every broken heart
Inside of my every song”
Shaw, a New Orleans native, has always been deeply connected to her Cajun music-influenced roots. Now based in Nashville, Shaw is bringing her signature Louisiana sound to Music City and beyond. Her music reflects her upbringing, blending traditional Cajun sounds with modern rock and pop elements, resulting in a sound that is decidedly Americana and distinctly Amanda Shaw.
"Amanda's version of 'Bad' is something else,” shares Le Blanc. “That fiddle of hers adds this whole new layer of attitude, a raw, fiery energy that makes the song even better than I imagined. And the way she blends her Cajun influences with a modern sound? It's like the whole spirit of Louisiana is bottled up in that song now."
With "Bad," Shaw continues to push boundaries and redefine Americana music. The song is a testament to her versatility as an artist and her commitment to creating music that is both authentic and innovative.

About Amanda Shaw:
Cajun influence is integral to understanding Amanda Shaw’s music, but her sound is all her own. A fiddle player since childhood, she grew up in New Orleans with early years steeped in both fais do-dos and a vibrant mélange of jazz, blues, funk, and rock ‘n’ roll. By the time she was 15, Shaw had a record deal with Rounder Records, and in the years since, she has appeared as part of a number of notable pop culture touchstones, including Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, the Today Show's Roker-thon, and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. She is the recipient of prestigious honors including the Big Easy Award for Best Female Entertainer and is a Louisiana Music Hall of Famer.

I'll admit, my view link is skewed because of a link personal connection to the watch. But even without that, I can't say that link I remember seeing the SKX007 or the Explorer on billboards growing up. This is the one watch of the three that you might see "in the wild" most often, and it's probably worn by plenty of folks who were inspired by the positioning it saw during the '90s. I'm certainly one of them.
