Review: Callie Twisselman Has Us Head Over "Cowboy" Boots with New Single

Wrangler jeans and a cowboy hat. George Strait button-down pearl snap. A pair of boots and a horse in the back. Yeah, he's a cowboy...

We recently discovered Callie Twisselman and her sweet, Dolly Parton-esque country vocals. A California native, she came to Nashville in 2017. “I was rejected plenty of times trying to chase my dreams – my songs weren’t good enough, my sound wasn’t the right fit, the list goes on and on."

Callie, never losing sight of her goal to become a country music star like her idol Shania Twain, was signed to her first publishing deal shorting after moving to Music City. She released her debut single "Two Hands," followed by a four-song EP entitled "Closure."

Callie's new single "Cowboy" reminds women, who've been scorned by love, that true gentleman still exist - many of them sporting calluses on their hands from tending to horses on the ranch. The traditional country vibe of the song makes it radio-ready and we can see this being a fan favorite at Callie's concerts. Whether you're from a bustling city or a rural farm town, "Cowboy" is a fun and flirty song that will have everyone clapping along to.

We can't wait to get our lasso around Callie's next single!
