Von Elrod’s Neighborhood Pilsner can release set for Oktoberfest

The charitable collaboration beer with Jackalope will be available starting October 6

Von Elrod’s Beer Hall & Kitchen and Jackalope Brewing Company will soon offer the Von Elrod’s Neighborhood Pilsner (4.5% ABV) in cans, just in time for Oktoberfest! Fans can acquire these special cans at Von Elrod’s Beer Hall & Kitchen starting October 6.

This traditional German-style pilsner is a crisp light-bodied beer, prominently featuring German Noble hops complemented by gently kilned Pilsen malt. The year-round collaboration beer is offered at Von Elrod’s as well as all M.L.Rose Craft Beer & Burger locations, with a portion of proceeds from every beer sold going to local neighborhood organizations and charities. Since it launched in 2019, more than 68,000 beers have been poured, and more than $17,000 has been donated. The spirit of this neighborhood beer will continue once these 16oz cans are available at Von Elrod’s this October.

“It’s fun to serve a beer that stokes conversation, drinks easy in a pint, stein or can, and does good for the community,” said Austin Ray, owner of Von Elrod’s. “The can brings this beer to life even more, and we’re excited to see them everywhere at Oktoberfest at Von Elrod’s.”

Jackalope Brewing Company will add Von Elrod’s Neighborhood Pilsner to their tap offerings at The Ranch taproom, 429B Houston Street. Starting in November and for the foreseeable future, it will be their featured nonprofit pairing beer, with 20% of proceeds going to neighborhood organizations and charities.

“We have loved making this beer for the past three years, and it’s clear that Von Elrod’s guests are big fans – we brew a lot of it to keep up with demand,” said Jackalope president Steve Wright. “When it came time to can the beer, we made a few tweaks to the recipe to highlight the German Noble hops in this classic German-style Pilsner. We are so excited to make Oktoberfest the launch party for Von Elrod’s Neighborhood Pilsner. Cheers!”
