NASHVILLE, TN - (April 25, 2024) - Allie Colleen gears up for her new single “Grass On The Grave” with lyrics that invoke a powerful ode to resilience amidst loss. With a reputation as a notable songwriter with an iconic-sounding, impeccably strong voice, The new music is an emotional journey of healing and was co-written by Allie Colleen, Alyssa Trahan, Krystal Polychronis and Craig Wilson. The new music is scheduled for release on all digital platforms on May 10, 2024 and is available now for pre-save HERE.
While not explicitly dedicated to songwriter Craig Wilson, this song resonates deeply with his memory and the loss felt by those who knew him.
Allie Colleen shared, “This song is a tribute to loss and all that comes out of it. Sonically resembles the resiliency of healing and lyrically it represents the frustration of letting go. I hope it creates a safe space for recovery and pushes the listener forward to the pursuit of ‘more.’"
“This is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever been a part of; it has such a powerful message that I think will resonate with many people, and Allie’s performance is absolutely stunning. We knew we were onto something good the day we wrote it and I know Craig Wilson, our beloved co-writer who is no longer here with us, would be so proud,” added co-writer Alyssa Trahan.
“It was a moment
A season in my life
I put you in my plans
Did what I felt was right
I worked so hard
Just to watch it die
Sometimes you have to leave something’s behind
It was never getting better
It all felt so wrong
It was supposed to be forever
Now I wake up and it’s gone
But the sun will keep rising
Broken ground just needs the rain
It takes time moving on
But there’s grass on the grave
I buried the feelings
Memories they still come up
Now I see them differently
But love is always love
That doesn’t mean that it’s enough …”

While it's probably cliché, when I arrived at the Only Watch preview, I made a beeline to the Tudor. This link may actually be the first "Big Block" chronograph I've ever truly liked. No doubt link that's in part because it draws link a lot of inspiration from one of my favorites, the gold Rolex ref. 6263 Daytona. It turns that out all I needed was a lot of gold to sell me on the idea.
The HN000 immediately stands link out thanks to the design decisions made across the case profile link and on the dial. The latter is where Bazerkanian decided to pay homage to the old masters – but in his link own contemporary style.
