Brooke Lee Captures Late-Night Chemistry with Brand New Song “Driver Drive”

“Budding country music star” (People) Brooke Lee keeps her foot on the gas with her brand-new song, “Driver Drive,” available today, July 17. The late-night, backseat kind of story about chasing one last moment with someone you just met is flirty, a little reckless, and all about stretching the moment and holding onto something that feels too good to let go of, even if it’s only for right now.

“With ‘Desert Darling,’ it felt like a really reflective chapter of my life—from 19 to 25—and it gave people a chance to really get to know me through the stories in the lyrics,” shares Lee.  “Working with Danielle Blakey, we found a sound that feels the most authentic to who I am, and something I’m really excited to keep building on. This song takes what we created on that project—those vibey, layered tracks that make you want to move, that roll-the-windows-down, keep-driving feeling—and brings it into a more everyday version of that freedom. I always want to celebrate the in-between moments too. I’ve had so many nights where the bar’s closing and I’m just not ready for it to end—the dancing, the laughing, flirting with the cutie next to me. ‘Driver Drive’ is about what happens after… that moment where you just wanna keep the night going as long as you can. It’s fun, flirty, a little reckless, and just feels like summer.”

Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, Brooke was thirteen when she witnessed Blue Monday enthralling an entire venue and knew she wanted to connect with people through her own music. Within two years, she had her own band and, at 21, moved to Nashville to pursue a career in country music. Since arriving, Lee has honed her craft in songwriting rooms with Spirit Music and signed with CAA.

In 2025, Brooke showcased her songwriting prowess with a steady stream of new singles, ranging from heartfelt collaborations like “Dandelion” (feat. Lukas Nelson) to anthems like “So Beautiful.” With more than 134k social followers and over 7 million career streams and 2.3 million YouTube views, her newest single, “Driver Drive” follows recent releases “Burn To Black,” “Just Because,” and the title track, “Desert Darling,” from her sophomore EP, released April 17, 2026 on Spirit Music/2Mix Music.

In celebration of America’s 250th, Brooke is collaborating with Chevy to record and release a modern interpretation of “See The USA In Your Chevrolet,” originally popularized by Dinah Shore. Brooke also appears in the new spot, which debuted during the ’26 Winter Olympics opening ceremony, singing IRL from the tailgate of a 2026 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 that was airlifted to the top of Castle Rock in Utah.

After opening for artists like NEEDTOBREATHE, Willie Nelson, Ty Myers, Wade Bowen, Gavin DeGraw, Redferrin, and Lukas Nelson, Brooke returned to the road with recent headlining shows in Charlotte, Atlanta and Nashville, plus a performance at CMA Music Fest.
