Willie Nelson, Ty Myers, Wade Bowen, Gavin DeGraw, Redferrin, Needtobreathe, and Lukas Nelson are just a fraction of the acts who have recognized Brooke Lee’s outstanding artistry. From inviting her to open shows to collaborating in song, Brooke’s standout songwriting skills and electrifying live shows are earning attention and elevating her to a whole new echelon.

Her newest single, “Burn To Black,” the lead track from her forthcoming sophomore EP, is available today, January 23, on Spirit Nashville Recordings/2Mix Music. Brooke will perform the song on tour with Needtobreathe next month.

“Will I ever be able to effortlessly love again?” is the vulnerable question that led Brooke, Jon Nite and Danielle Blakey to bare their hearts in writing “Burn To Black.” The song insistently explores the ache of your first love, the unforgettable memories, and the heartbreak that lingers long after. It’s a reflection on that intense time and the way those moments stay with you.

“Your first love is intense, and so is the heartbreak. It leaves a mark that lingers long after, creeping back whenever you try to open your heart again,” shares Lee. “‘Burn To Black’ isn’t a break up song, or a miss you song. It’s not an I’m moving on or I found somebody new song. It’s one I wrote from a place of confusion when I got back in the dating world. Memories, boundaries, wants, and needs. Finding it all again."

We drank your daddy’s whiskey

I swam in my mama’s dress

So good that it almost killed me

And now I can’t

Love like that

We fell too fast

When you burn like that

You burn to burn to

Burn to black

Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, Brooke was thirteen when she witnessed Blue Monday enthralling an entire venue and knew she wanted to connect with people through her own music. Within two years, she had her own band and, at 21, moved to Nashville to pursue a career in country music. Since arriving, Lee has honed her craft in songwriting rooms with Spirit Music Publishing and signed with CAA. In 2025, Brooke showcased her songwriting prowess with a steady stream of new singles–ranging from heartfelt collaborations like “Dandelion” (feat. Lukas Nelson) to anthems like “So Beautiful.”

Rooted in emotion and real-life experience, Brooke’s music is built on a foundation of authenticity. Her storytelling approach to songwriting allows her to connect deeply with listeners, crafting songs that feel both personal and universally resonant.
