Concert Review: Sam Ferrara Proves She's a Star at Album Release Party

If you don't already know by now, we are big fans of country newcomer, Sam Ferrara. The Long Island native released several singles over the last year and she just released her debut album "Piece of Me" a few days ago. The album is autobiographical and brings bits and pieces of Sam's story to life through music. "This album has been in the works for 3 years," Sam shared. "It has been the longest journey, but I cannot wait to share every piece of me with you!"

Track Listing:

1. Waiter

2. Whiskey Memory

3. Love's Got A Way of Letting You Down

4. My Cruel Mind

5. Cold Black Kettle

6. Kites

7. What You Have

8. Get Out of My Town (ft. Amanda McCarthy)

We were lucky enough to receive an invitation to her album release party, which was held at The Green Light Bar in Nashville, TN, and included a full-band performance from Sam herself.

We arrived a little late to the party and the room was already filled when we got there. We grabbed a seat at the back of the bar, observing all of the festivities around us. It was apparent that Sam has not only built up a loyal fan following, but she also has a great support team behind her, too. We witnessed hundreds of hugs, some happy-tears, and a lot of congratulatory smiles throughout the night.

Sam has an undeniable stage presence and had the room singing along with her to her fan-favorite song "Whiskey Memory." Although the stage was small, she worked it as if we were at her dream venue - Madison Square Garden in New York City. She even broke out her saxophone at one point!

In the middle of her set, Sam debuted an unreleased single from the album called "Kites." Wow...we knew she was a great lyricist, but this song really shows off her talents. We heard it mentioned that the song has already been sent to radio, so be sure to request it at your local stations!

Sam had several talented artists performing during the show, including another one of our favorite artists - Amanda McCarthy. She joined Sam on stage to sing their hit song "Get Out of My Town," which had people jumping up and down on the dance floor. What a great way to end the night!

Before we left, we noticed a mob of people standing around the merchandise table, where Sam was signing her CDs. She was humble, grateful and genuine - just how we thought she would be.

It wasn't surprising to us that the theme of the party involved the colors black and gold, which are the same colors as a Grammy Award. If Sam continues down the path she is on, we suspect she will be accepting her own gramophone-shaped trophy in the future.
