BoomTown Saints celebrated a career milestone at 8 Track Entertainment’s holiday party in Nashville for their chart-topping single, “Blacktop Don’t” with label head, Noah Gordon, and manager Gary Kraen. The single climbed to #1 on CDX’s True Indie Chart where it remained for an impressive 12 weeks, hit #13 on Music Row’s Country Singles chart and entered the top 50 on the Mediabase Activator country singles chart.
On the heels of winding down a successful 20-state tour supporting "Blacktop Don't" the duo is now celebrating the release of their inaugural holiday single, "Baby, Let Me Be Your Santa Claus Tonight.” This festive track, written by Gary Kraen and Sam Weedman, is playlisted on Pandora’s “Blue Sky Country Christmas” and graces the cover of Warner Music Group/ADA Music’s Spotify playlist, “No Fences.”
“It’s been an exciting year for Ben and Chris,” commented Kraen. “Their music is resonating with a growing fan base as they continue to work hard entertaining and connecting with fans. We are all looking forward to see what’s next for them in 2024.”
BoomTown Saints, composed of Ben Chism and Chris Ramos, have been lauded for their distinctive sound that fuses traditional country elements with a modern twist. The duo has been touring steadily this year amassing fans from coast-to-coast with their high-energy live shows. BoomTown Saints self-titled debut EP was released in August, 2023 and expect to deliver a full-length album early in 2024.
About BoomTown Saints:
Listed amongst a handful of new artists in 2023 in Billboard’s “What’s New in the New Year,” BoomTown Saints represent one of the only new male duos emerging onto the country music landscape in the past year. Since releasing their debut single, “All Trucks Go To Heaven,” the duo (Chris Ramos and Ben Chism) have been embraced by such industry outlets as Billboard, Music Row Magazine, Music Connection Magazine, Grammy.com, Women's World, CMT.com, The Country Network, Taste of Country and others.
The duo paths first crossed at a gig when they were both performing as solo artists. An immediate synergy between the two quickly developed and led to the formation of BoomTown Saints in 2018. The two initially pursued careers outside of music -- Chris, as a healthcare consultant climbing the corporate ladder in the pharmaceutical industry, and Ben, who was headed to medical school after graduating with a degree in Biology on a full academic and baseball scholarship. After Ben won the regional Texas Country Showdown singing competition he went on to the Southeast USA contest and finished Top 10 in the nationwide event, the tide turned and he decided to take “music over medicine.” Likewise, after getting multiple cuts as a writer on albums ranging from pop, to country, to electronic music, Chris decided to pursue his dream in music and form a band.

The usual suspects, with link a few exceptions, are conspicuously absent, which is not only fine with me but inspiring. So often collecting can become an echo chamber of link what's trendy. Nora bucks that trend, choosing some conventional silhouettes while maintaining a collection that is playful and unexpected. Only one truly vintage watch does make my heart a little sad, but we can't be all things to all people at all times. There is still a lot of history link in each of these pieces.
The 6062 has received a bit of good press recently – with the monumental sale of the Bao Dai, followed up link by the strong result link of the "Dark Star" – and it's a reference serious collectors are talking about a lot. The 8171, however, still remains a bit of an underdog, though it feels like we are one great discovery away from this watch breaking into link the collecting mainstream.
