How did you first become interested in pursuing a music career, and what challenges did you face as a female artist early in your career?
I grew up in a very music-oriented family and have been studying music my whole life. My mother owned a dance studio for 12 years, where I started dance lessons at the age of 3. These experiences fueled my passion for music. I began singing lessons at age 5, which led to many competitions and various opportunities. I had my first paid show at age 7, singing at a mall. Throughout my childhood, I continued studying piano, music theory, and voice, which eventually led to my full-time music career.
As a woman in this industry, I have to prove myself and work harder than most. In the production and audio world, I need to really know my stuff because sometimes people underestimate me at first. However, I work very hard and often prove a lot of people wrong.
Can you share some insights into the importance of mentorship for aspiring female artists in today's music industry?
I believe you should always stay true to yourself and learn as much as you can. Always strive to inspire others and the next generation of music creators.
What role do you think gender stereotypes play in shaping the career trajectories of female musicians, and how have you navigated these challenges personally?
I want to be recognized for my artistry and talent. Art is subjective and should be enjoyed based on individual interpretation. I don't want to be categorized in a certain way just because I am a woman and automatically subjected to societal stereotypes.
Who has been a female idol or role model that has inspired you the most, and why?
Dolly Parton, Bonnie Raitt and Judy Garland! I admire their work and what they represent as women in the music industry. Truly pioneers.
Your songwriting often touches on themes of empowerment and resilience. How do you hope your music inspires other women, especially those in the industry?
I want to inspire all! Music is a gift for all to share.
In your experience, what are some of the key steps the industry can take to promote gender equality and support female artists more effectively?
As a female music producer, I only represent 3% of the industry. 97% is male. Having a diverse community is what make music so beautiful. I appreciate the different perspective it offers the diversity you have. I would love to keep encouraging and inspiring others to keep learning, growing, and challenging themselves.
Could you highlight a particular moment in your career where you felt empowered as a woman in the music industry, and how did that shape your artistic journey?
I went to a couple of producer conferences - I was the first and only woman to ever attend, out of 200+ men, from all over the world.

Your collaboration with other female artists and industry professionals is notable. How do these collaborations contribute to fostering a supportive community for women in music?
Absolutely. I love learning from other strong and talented women. It makes the process way more fun and interesting.
Looking forward, what are your hopes for the future of female representation and empowerment in the music industry, and how do you see yourself contributing to that movement?
I would love to keep inspiring others to keep pushing the status quo, growing, and believing in themselves.
