NASHVILLE, TENN. – Hot new country artist Mark Taylor is returning to the scene with his new feel-good party anthem single Dust Off That Dirt. Following the success of his last releases, which achieved success on Spotify’s curated playlists and a fan-voted country chart, Mark is continuing that momentum with this release. Dust Off That Dirt is now available on all streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and more.
Written by Mark and fellow artist Dan Harrison, Dust Off That Dirt tells the story of letting loose and having a good time. Focusing on getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this song showcases the goodness that is driving to the middle of nowhere and raising “a little hell” with friends. “I’ll be out on the road with my band this summer and I wanted an up-tempo, party anthem song that I can kick off my show with and I think we captured it with this song,” says Mark. “It’s about kicking the dust of the dirt ‘literally’ and not being afraid to let loose and have a great time.” Using themes that resonate with himself, Mark combined classic country sounds with a pop-rock feel, giving the song an extra edge that captivates the audience and makes it impossible to stop listening. With lyrics like “Because there’s nothing quite like a little star light, moonshine, good times,” it is obvious that the song is meant to capture the listeners attention and encourage them to just let loose and have fun.
Produced by Leland Grant (Chris Young, Rachel Bradshaw, etc) and recorded in Nashville, Dust Off That Dirt is the first of many new releases set for this year. “I’m so excited to finally have new music out, it’s been a long time coming,” says Mark. “I’m super pumped to hit the road this summer with my band and play this new music for everyone. This music is me. It’s my style, my sound, everything.”
Mark recently wrapped up an appearance at this year’s Tin Pan South Festival and is gearing up to play at some of the most major country festivals in the U.S. including Country Fest in WI, Frog Fest in NY, CMA Music Festival, and others.
