Country music artist Josh Turner will headline Pigeon Forge’s 31st annual Patriot Festival on July 4 in the city’s Patriot Park. The free concert begins at 8 p.m. followed by a holiday fireworks spectacular.

In celebration of his Pigeon Forge concert and to commemorate the 15th anniversary of his hit single “Firecracker,” Pigeon Forge and MCA Nashville recording artist Josh Turner are offering fans a chance to win a trip of a lifetime to see Turner’s concert on July 4. Registration and complete prize details are available at https://www.mypigeonforge.com/joshturnersweeps. The Firecracker sweepstakes winner and a guest will get to meet Turner, stay at Dollywood’s DreamMore Resort & Spa, receive Ariat boots and denim from Stages West, visit Dollywood theme park and receive VIP access to many other Pigeon Forge attractions and shows.

Patriot Festival activities get under way at 4 p.m. with various food vendors for guests to explore in the park. From the main stage, the annual veterans tribute is slated for 5:30 p.m. Immediately after, local favorites Liquid Velvet, a ‘70s and ‘80s rock tribute band, take the stage. Popular Creedence Clearwater Revival tribute band Swamp River Revival performs at 6:30 p.m. just prior to Turner’s performance. The fireworks display starts at approximately 9:45 p.m. as will Knoxville radio station WIVK’s (107.7 FM) simulcast of the event.

“For three decades now, Patriot Festival has brought our Pigeon Forge community together to celebrate Independence Day with great entertainment and a fabulous fireworks display, and we look forward to Josh Turner carrying on that rich tradition,” said Pigeon Forge Mayor David Wear. “The addition of the Firecracker sweepstakes is going to make this an especially memorable July Fourth for our prize winner.”

Patriot Festival guests are welcome to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Umbrellas, tents, and coolers are not permitted. Food vendors will be available. Free parking is provided at the Teaster Lane Municipal parking lot, and a free shuttle operates every 20 minutes between the lot and festival site.
