SOFIA CLAIRE, PROMISING COUNTRY MUSIC ARTIST AND PROFICIENT SONGWRITER, RELEASES NEW SINGLE

NASHVILLE, TENN. - (February 18, 2022) -- Sofia Claire, a promising Country music artist and proficient songwriter who originates from Redwood City, California, has released her most recent single, “Kickin’ Up Stardust.” The energetic toe-tapping tune with catchy lyrics was written by the multi-award-winning songwriter Steve Bogard, Michael Wilkes and Sofia Claire and recorded at the Sound Kitchen in Franklin, Tennessee. The song is about keeping your head up and focusing on bigger and brighter days ahead when kicked down. Sofia hopes that listeners will choose to be positive and optimistic when change takes place in everyone's journey through life. "Kickin’ Up Stardust" is available on all digital streaming and download platforms at smarturl.it/kickinupstardust. “Kickin’ Up Stardust” is the first song of mine that I co-wrote to be fully recorded and released. I am beyond proud of what we have created and cannot wait to share it with the world. Stardust is a feel-good song about picking yourself up and taking the bull by its horns," shared Sofia Claire. “Michael Wilkes and I had both done a bit of background research on Sofia and knew she was a California girl with strong country roots. Since her look and sound were on the more elegant, classy side of Country, we started preliminary work on Michael’s title “Kickin’ Up Stardust.” Sofia arrived and all of us knew right away it was just right for her. Her vocal fit the melody and the groove perfectly and she added all the right touches of feminine metaphor so that we could almost see the video as we wrote the song,” shared co-writer Steve Bogard.

"You might’ve thought that you knocked me down But i’m telling you now that doesn't mean that i'm out See this ain’t no mud that i'm muddlin’ through And this ain't no dirt on these old boots I got a lookin’ up attitude But boy I ain’t lookin’ down on you Yeah i’m kickin’ up stardust, pickin’ up moon beams Dancin’ through some open doors I never swung through before Not stoppin’ till I feel a heart rush Yeah, kickin’ up stardust, kickin’ up stardust I learned a hard lesson so now I know You were just a bright, shiny hunk of fools gold I’m scatterin’ glitter across this hardwood floor Like a honky tonk angel with a neon halo I got the guys makin’ eyes at me You might call it livin’ the dream Yeah I’m, kickin’ up stardust, pickin’ up moon beams Dancin’ through some open doors I never swung through before Not stoppin’ till I feel a heart rush Yeah, kickin’ up stardust, kickin’ up stardust Step by step and day by day I’ve got a midnight rainbow lighting my way Step by step and day by day I’ve got a midnight rainbow lighting my way Yeah I’m, kickin’ up stardust, pickin’ up moon beams Dancin’ through some open doors I never swung through before Not stoppin’ till I feel a heart rush" “Kickin’ Up Stardust” was produced by Dr. Ford in Nashville.
